Psychographic Profile of our typical audience member
Our typical audience member is between the age of 16 and 25 our main audience is of male gender but we also have some female audience members.
Most of our audience has jobs whether it is part time or full time, only a small margin would be unemployed or other.
Leisure interests for our audience members would be going out for a drink with friends whether that be at a pub or go out to a night club, most of them lead an exciting night life compared with their day to day activities.
Our audiences typical method of consuming media is through and recent technology e.g. Smart Phones, laptops, I-Pods etc.
Uses and gratifications theory places more focus on the consumer or audience instead of the actual message itself, by asking "What people do with media?" instead of "What media does to people?" It tells us how the audience is responsible for choosing the media they consume to meet their specific needs. A gratification is what the audience would get out of listening to our song and watching our music video. These are example like Diversion where the audience can escape from their problems when listening to this song or they can relate to the problems conveyed from the song lyrics and video. The audience also imerses themselves in the song and the lyrics as a sort of a comfort.
